Thanks,

we'll definitely add color-enabled categories with filtration on the list page and recurring events.
Outlook/VCF import and export won't be available in the first version.

Tony, yes you can have multiple events within a single day.

Stephan, I hope you are not serious. Google calendar is probably a nice piece of software however you cannot tweak it your way, you cannot connect it to your database and you cannot put it to your website.

Hi again Sergey,
I think my previous entry may have been a little confusing. Just to confirm, we are after a view with multiple calendars for a single day.
Cheers
Tony

Sergey

You're right, our calendar is unique in the sense that it can be connected to your own personal daytabase. That's great. What is important to me about Google's (and it might be a feature in PHPRunner's) is the fact that I can view my staff's daily activities on the same calendar as mine- and choose the coulours for easy ID. Also, I can give others (like my PA) permission to add appointments to my diary without doing double bookings.

I'm not sure if this will be possible in PHPRunner's calendar, but for me this is essential as I'm not always in office and is thus able to monitor my staff's activities and have appointments made on my behalf.

Keep up the great work.

The most promise I see with this is the ablity to integrate it with other PHPRunner projects. I have a system where sales reps keep track of customers including appointments to make calls or visits. I would see value in them being able to see these events in a calendar form. For this to work the event would have to be assoicated with the user (sales person) and the customer. Currently I just show them a list of events.

I would like the sales peoples view to be limited to just their events (appointments). However the admin (Manager) would need to see everyones.

I like what I see so far.

Sure, all kinds of security settings can be applied to the Calendar template. This is a regular project in ASPRunnerPro/PHPRunner after all.

It would be great to have a quasi thumbnail of the monthly view, to be able to place on an existing page, then linking to daily or monthly view, depending on whether the 'date' or month were clicked.
Similar to: http://www.ech-test....etadot/index.pl (right side of page)
Thanks, awesome!!

You guys continue to out do yourselves. We use a standalone calendar program for internal company purposes. I don't have nearly the control that I would have with this template. Great stuff.
Knowledge base would be great too.

Thanks.

We have developed the first version of the Calendar template.
You can see a preview at http://demo.asprunne...ndar5/login.asp

Login as Guest with readonly access or use admin/admin for full access.

Let me know what do you think about the UI and functionality.

Also we'd like to know what additional templates you like to see in ASPRunnerPro/PHPRunner. Be specific and descriptive. Posts like "I need a school management template" don't ring the bell.

At this moment we think of developing a Members template which is a password-protected members-only website where you need to pay (PayPal) to get an access.

You can also vote for your favorite templates.

Hi,

best php calendar I've ever seen is the mockup ajax planner with flatcalendarxp integrated. It is full ajax driven and uses drag and drop for new events. A demo is available under http://www.calendarx...t/tt_flat.shtml.

Perhaps its possible to integrate such a calendar into phprunner?

I would say the template is great, but it would be nice if such template will be as a part of the project rather than new separate project, i.e. I have my PHPRunner project, but I would like to add the calender template to the project, so that the users of the system will use the calender along with the main project

Sergey, do you think this is possible?

Another template I might think of is Support Ticket System template, this is also helpful for most of PHPRunner projects. Once again, I believe such templates should be added to existed projects rather than creating new PHPRunner projects.

Regards,

Fawaz

I had a look at the calendar, and it's great. Here are some comments. I use Google calendar, so I'm sorry to mention some features that I use on it that is wonderful. Maybe some of it can be implemented in this calendar.

1. A today button that will take you straight to today's activities. maybe a today tab next to the Calendar, Monthly, Weekly, Daily tabs
2. A specific colour of the entries or block where today is, to ID it easily.
3. Showing different users (or groups - say marketing dept.) in different colours.
4. Option to allow users / groups to view, add, edit other's calendars.
4. Grey out of history days (Yesterday and past) At the monent it seems like it's showing in red, but only from the day befor yesterday .- Today is the 6th. On the demo calendar yesterday is not in red.
5. In Google entries can be dragged and dropped to different days and times. This is very useful. Probably not easy to do this.
6. E-mail reminders to set to warn of meetings certain times befor the appointment. - 5min. 10, min. hour, etc.
7. Popup reminder when calendar is open.
8. SMS reminders.
9. A daily reminder by mail showing today's activities.

I understand that you are not to duplicate an exsisting Calendar, but these are features that I use everyday. If some of them are included in PHPRunner''s Template, it would be worth it, as the integration and use of your own database is VERY helpful. Also for security purposes.

I think this is a great template that will surely be of great use.

Keep up the great work.

Stephan,

you can add all of this - PHPRunner is your friend. This is just a template, a framework that can help you build the application. If we add all those features you talking about people will spend most of their time removing features they don't need.

Fawaz,

unfortunately we cannot add a template to existing projects. I recommend to create a new project using the Calendar template pointing it to your existing database. Once project is created you can add existing tables to this project.

I hope this makes sense.

hello

the calendar is excellent, when will it be ready to use, have many uses for it.
as soon as possible please as i really need to get started on one project that i have put off with a client for 2 weeks waiting for it

the idea of a Members template which is a password-protected members-only website where you need to pay (PayPal) to get an access.
this is excellent as i use one at the moment but have to manually add access to the site.

thank you for all your great work
