i have the table in excel which is regularly updated - and would like to be imported regularly. I have envisaged the field Imported - yes/no and would like to use event before import - to import only rows where value of imported is No. So far i did not have much success - i dont want to import field Imported but must check its value to decide if row is to be added to database.

Any help would be more than welcome.

... not tested by myself, yet I think..., once the built-in feature PREVENT DUPLICATE VALUES is checked, same might work on imports of EXCEL data as well. Going this way would make any more complicated workaround to become totally obsolete as the YES/NO issue raised by you would be sorted out by the built-in feature in the most smart manner and at a glance, yet only little wonder, as you certainly agree with me, the PHPR v8.0 is REALLY world's best RAD tool ever seen on this bloody planet so far
P.S. http://xlinesoft.com/phprunner/docs/_edit_as__settings.htm
... see second screenshot inside the Xlinesoft online manual page as per above URL where to find the CHECKBOX for PREVENT DUPLICATE VALUES ...
